The Amazing Spider-Man (1977).

The most famous action super hero, Spider-Man is brought exploding onto the Silver screen by Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker.

This film follows the stories of the comic books very clearly with Peter living with his Aunt and Uncle after his parent's early death. Peter is a science student, who does not have any luck with the ladies, of which he does have one in mind more than any other, Mary Jane who is played by Kirsten Dunst.

Whilst on a field trip, Peter is bitten by an unusual spider which gives him special powers; this is what turns him into Spider-Man.  Spider-Man is a choice he makes to take on as an alter ego personality where he gets the chance to be brave, popular and have strength. This is a flip reversal from his "normal" Peter Parker self where he has little confidence, he is not a popular person nor does he seem to be brave in any way, although it is quite clear that he wants to be brave but just does not know how. Becoming Spider-Man gives him that opportunity and he runs with it.

The Spider-Man movie is completely thrilling with multi-layers to the characters, stories and themes that run through the film right from the beginning till the very end.  It would not be a very good film if there was not a villain to defeat and the Spider-Man movie does not disappoint with the Green Goblin as his adversary in the film.

The two power houses of Good and Evil fight out an epic battle which shows that certain undertones in films that are aimed at children still do exist. Many morals are taught when  child watches how being Good can make a difference and that being Bad or Evil will only cause harm, these are fantastic lessons that all children should learn as they are growing up. Marvel Comics prided themselves on being able to teach children through their stories the difference between right and wrong. This is shown in the Spider-Man film which makes it perfect for any member of the family to watch regardless of age.

Spider-Man has a huge following globally with some people being able to come from the comics to the film and others only experiencing Spider-Man for the first time through the film. Either way, Spider-Man is exciting, daring, and wonderful to watch and a real treat any time of the year. No one who has watched the film could say that it does not deliver because it does deliver with a very large punch of the age old Good Vs Evil.

University student Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider and decides to use his super powers to stop a new age guru that is turning law abiding citizens into criminals through mind control. Enjoy The Amazing Spider Man Movie 1977.
